Getting Those Photos into Cluster Frames (PS)

Photoshop mini-tut: sizing photos into cluster frames ... Let’s say you have bought a fabulous shadowed frame cluster from [ksharonkdesigns], and now you need to work out how to get your photos into the frame. Hmmmm … and the frames are on an angle! Easy peasy!
  1. Drag your first photo under the frame. Resize your photo to the size you want it to be … Ctrl/T, if you are using Photoshop.
  2. Use your rotate function (move to the corner of your photo, after you press Ctrl/T, and click on the little round arrow, and rotate) to rotate the photo to where you want it to be. Press Enter.
  3. Select your frame layer, and using the Magic Wand Tool, click inside the frame.
  4. Go to Select, Modify, Expand, and type in about 30 pixels. Press Enter.
  5. Your ‘marching ants’ should be bigger than the inside of the frame, smaller than the outside of the frame.
  6. Select your photo layer, and go to Select, Inverse. Now press Delete, and your photo should be just a little larger than the inside of your photo frame, but smaller than the outside of the frame … the perfect size!!!
  7. Repeat the exercise for your second and subsequent frames.
