Photoshop mini-tut: sizing photos into cluster frames ... Let’s say you have bought a fabulous shadowed frame cluster from [ksharonkdesigns], and now you need to work out how to get your photos into the frame. Hmmmm … and the frames are on an angle! Easy peasy!
- Drag your first photo under the frame. Resize your photo to the size you want it to be … Ctrl/T, if you are using Photoshop.
- Use your rotate function (move to the corner of your photo, after you press Ctrl/T, and click on the little round arrow, and rotate) to rotate the photo to where you want it to be. Press Enter.
- Select your frame layer, and using the Magic Wand Tool, click inside the frame.
- Go to Select, Modify, Expand, and type in about 30 pixels. Press Enter.
- Your ‘marching ants’ should be bigger than the inside of the frame, smaller than the outside of the frame.
- Select your photo layer, and go to Select, Inverse. Now press Delete, and your photo should be just a little larger than the inside of your photo frame, but smaller than the outside of the frame … the perfect size!!!
- Repeat the exercise for your second and subsequent frames.
