Miki Ferkul ~ Microferk Designs Biography:
Hi! I'm Miki- also known as Michaela Ferkul, and I design as Microferk Designs. I live in northeast Ohio with my dear husband John , and 3 children Christopher, Alexandra and Zachary.
I have been noodling around with computers since about 1992, and graphics programs since the mid-90's. I remember making a scrapbook for my mother-in-law before I even knew digital scrapbooking existed as its own pursuit! I work in Adobe Photoshop CS 2and Corel Paint Shop Pro XI- finding that each one has made its niche in my preferences.
Once I started dig-scrapping, it was a natural inclination to start designing my own pieces- and I found it to be an incredible outlet for my artistic nature, a timeless gift to my family in terms of documenting our memories, and an absolutely awesome means of networking with the most wonderful people in the word: digi-scrappers and designers alike!
I am also a great fan of music (especially metal, Latin rock and Celtic), and still enjoy nothing better than a night out at a good concert. I have written music in the past and find it ot be another channel for expression and relaxation. I'm an amateur photographer of sorts, though designing has usurped a bit of the time that hobby used to occupy.
I hope you enjoy my designs as much as I enjoyed making them. I'd love to hear from you- any ideas, feedback, suggestions and especially, a link to your layouts. I am usually awestruck by the talent so many of you digi-scrappers have out there. You are an inspiration to me.
