I'm way new to all of this including scrapbooking. I really like the idea of hybrid scrapping. I'm a stamper at heart and love to touch the papers and embelishments, but I never scrapbooked because I knew I would never finish anything. Anyway what I want to know is...is there a good website that will print a page separately so I can embellish it myself and put it into my own album?

Photoshop, however, it was a challenge to grasp at first! I am using mostly Quick Pages now, so I think these software programs are wonderful! My Mom is now addicted, and a true convert! :)

I just found Gliftex, which is awesome for creating papers... but I want to add other .dbx files to it. I'm only using elements, not CS3 or any real CAD program. Can anyone recommend any good tools for converting custom shapes to .dbx, or any good, free-or-inexpensive, scrap-for-hire or commercial use .dbx warehouses? Thanks in advance.

My darling partner has just bought me a Wacom bamboo craft for Christmas....it's already here and I'm itching to try it out lol!
I already have a really really old, cheap tablet and pen that I use a lot, so I can't wait to get my hands on my new one!
I just wondered how many of you use them?
A couple of my friends have tried using tablets and just can't get on with them.....but I couldn't be without mine!
So what are your views?

So whose designs are you using on a regular basis? I myself admire so many designers it's hard to pick.
I find myself using the kits at Peppermint Creative alot but I am not sure who the designer is. Most of the kits are very subdued and I love the elements with the flowers and beads. They seem to have the right blend of items for me. =)
Clara Wallace just created my personal chick avatar which I think is adorable so I will put her on my list as well. There are just so many. I am going to have to think long and hard and post again.

What would make you want to visit on a regular basis? What would make you want to add more content, participate in discussions. Or what kind of content/information would you like to find on the site.
We have a lot of members but not a lot of activity so I am just trying to figure out how and what we can do to improve our site.

Maybe try and get some 'well known' designers/scrappers to do a Q&A thread once a month, leaving it open for say a week? People post their questions, then the designer/scrapper pops on and answers a few each day? Or even an 'Actor's Studio' kind of thing with an 'interview' feel - how they got started, what their inspirations are, how they design/scrap....etc
Competitions, challenges - both things that bring people in (especially if there are prizes - maybe contact stores to see if they would be willing to donate a little something?)
Maybe try and get your site advertised on somewhere like Digishoptalk...I don't know if they would allow it, but it has a high volume of members and would be a great place to 'spread the word' about Digital Scrap Wiki!
Just a couple of ideas....hope they help!

So given that we all digitally scrap we all must have lots and lots of digital photos. Mine used to be completely organized and then I switched to a mac and now I'm all over the place. I need some tips and tricks as I expect all of us do. How do you organize yours?

Well all of my non digi photos are all in a big box on top of my wardrobe...lol!
All my 'pre-parent' digi pics are organised into occasions, locations etc as that's the only time I really took photo's (although I do have a rather large folder simply called 'randoms' lol)...since becoming a parent 99.9% of my photos are now of my son, so they're all arranged from birth to 1 year in month folders, then I have one for 12-18 months, one for 18-24 months....and at the end of the month there'll be a new one - 24-30 months lol! Then I have separate ones for Christmas, birthdays, etc....
Actually, after reading all that, it doesn't sound organised at all!! lol!

When I met my partner he was very into Photoshop (mainly cars lol!)
He showed me the basics, and I started making signatures for my parenting forum....I got into scrapping about 4 months ago and haven't looked back lol!
I would love to try hybrid or even full paper scrapping, but our flat is very small (especially with a 2 year old running around!) and we just don't have the space!
Digiscrapping is the best of both worlds! I get to scrap, and it takes up no space (except on my hard drive lol!)
